Greenwich Council are raking in £16,500 a day from fines dished out to locals who drive through camera enforced LTN roads in East Greenwich, south-east London.
The council will now have to pay out £35,000 in legal fees to the West Dulwich Action Group (WDAG), which brought the case, but campaigners are calling for this to be increased.
Council officers who were behind plans for a LTN in West Dulwich were offered a day off to 'recover' after residents blasted the plans in a public meeting.
