Australian Industry Group CEO Innes Willox says the concern amongst business is the longer the country is closed off the deeper the economic impacts will be. Mr Willox highlighted how well Australia has done on the health-front in response to the pandemic but has warned the country will get left behind on the economic side of things. “COVID is not going away, vaccinations will help but they won’t be a silver bullet,” Mr Willox told Sky News. “At some point we do need to re-engage and the longer we take the real risk is we will get left behind.”
